Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of midazolam combined with propofol in painless gastroscopy in elderly patients. Methods Sixty elderly patients who underwent painless gastroscopy from January 2024 to January 2025 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was anesthetized with propofol, while the study group was anesthetized with midazolam combined with propofol. The application effects were compared. Results The dosage of propofol in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the recovery time and directional force of the study group were shorter (P<0.05); At T1 and T2, the HR and MAP indicators of the study group were relatively low (P<0.05); At T3, T4, and T5, the cognitive function score of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); There was no signiffcant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The combination of midazolam and propofol can achieve good anesthesia effects with minimal impact on cognitive function, and its practical application is worth promoting.
