Application Value of Rational Drug Classiffcation Management in Hospital Western Pharmacy and Its Impact on Medication Waiting Time

Abstract:Objective To investigate the practical signiffcance of rational drug classiffcation management in hospital Western pharmacy operations.Methods A total of 160 patients receiving pharmacy services were randomly selected: 80 patients from April to October 2023 served as the control group (routine management), and 80 patients from November 2023 to April 2024 served as the observation group (rational drug classiffcation management). The outcomes of the two management approaches were compared.Results The management quality score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The medication error rate in the observation group was 2.50%, signiffcantly lower than the 11.25% in the control group (P < 0.05). Patients in the observation group expressed higher satisfaction with pharmacy management compared to the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Rational drug classiffcation management effectively improves the operational efffciency and service quality of hospital Western pharmacies, signiffcantly reduces medication waiting time, and decreases dispensing error rates. This approach holds substantial value for optimizing pharmaceutical care and is worthy of widespread clinical application.
