New advances in traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment for pulmonary rehabilitation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract: At present, lung rehabilitation therapy has proved to be an effective intervention method to delay the progression ofchronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In recent years, lung rehabilitation technology has achieved remarkable results and hasbeen recognized as one of the core treatment strategies for stable management of COPD by international guidelines. The existingclinical research shows that standardized pulmonary rehabilitation intervention can not only effectively improve patients’dyspnea symptoms and exercise endurance, but also keep lung function stable and improve patients’ quality of life and mentalhealth. With the deepening of evidence-based medicine research, the combination mode of lung rehabilitation of traditional Chinesemedicine and western medicine has shown unique therapeutic advantages and achieved very good results in actual clinic.This paper reviews the related research in recent three years to understand the latest progress in the treatment of patients withchronic obstructive pulmonary disease with traditional Chinese and western medicine。
