Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of the combined application of fluoxetine hydrochloride and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on suicidal ideation in adolescents with depression.Methods From April 2022 to February 2024, 40 adolescents with depression were randomly selected from our hospital and divided into a control group (20 cases, treated with fluoxetine hydrochloride) and a study group (20 cases, treated with fluoxetine hydrochloride combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) using the lottery method. The treatment efficacy, cognitive function, suicidal ideation, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the study group showed higher treatment efficacy and cognitive function (number of correct responses, number of completed categories) and lower suicidal ideation than the control group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Adolescents with depression who received fluoxetine hydrochloride combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation achieved better treatment outcomes, improved cognitive function, reduced suicidal ideation, and showed no significant adverse reactions.
