Abstract:Objective To explore and analyze the application effect of video electroencephalogram in the early diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of epilepsy secondary to cerebral infarction. Methods 80 patients with secondary epilepsy caused by cerebral infarction treated at Binhai County People's Hospital from June 2022 to May 2024 were selected as the research subjects. All patients were diagnosed using video electroencephalography (EEG) and routine EEG, and early diagnostic results were compared; At the same time, the prognosis was evaluated. Results The detection rate of abnormal EEG in video EEG was signiffcantly higher than that in conventional EEG, and the difference was statistically signiffcant (P0.05), but the overall detection rate of video EEG was signiffcantly higher than that of conventional EEG, and the difference was statistically significant (P0.05).Conclusion The application of video electroencephalogram in the early diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of epilepsy secondary to cerebral infarction has high diagnostic accuracy, which can timely detect lesions and provide effective reference for subsequent treatment. At the same time, it can also effectively evaluate the prognosis of patients, and adjust the treatment plan according to the prognosis to ensure the treatment effect.
